Have you read the final Harry Potter yet? Ian finished his copy and
Bernie's sermon on Sunday was Harry Potter based - but she didn't reveal
the ending.
Yes, I finished Harry. I won't say much, don't want to spoil it in any way
for anyone who hasn'r read it yet. I am delighted that I have been part of
the excitement over ths series. I find myself thinkng of what it was like
for readers when stories were serialized in newspapers and you had to wait
expectantly for the next installment. We have the privilege of reading a
lot of works, like Dickens, straight through and so it definitely adds to
the excitement to have to wait. Now that the wait is over though, it is
tinged with a little sadness that the series has ended. However, given that
I love to listen to the Harry books, and feel simple awe for the speaking
talents of Jim Dale, I'm looking forward to listening to 'Harry Potter and
the Deathly Hallows' as soon as it become available from the library (I've
been on the wait list since long before it was even published!). Any chance
that you will now attempt to penetrate the wizarding world Janet????
I might, just dimly might, try a Harry Potter (the first one of course) but
not in the near future - too many other tempting choices on my unread shelf
at the moment.
