Ice-cream and Tulips

Both Ashley and Caitlin were sick today. James decided to work from home and arranged his time around the needs of our family (isn't he an amazing Dad!). So this morning they played computer games with Dad while I went out to catch up on some errands I had put off with Caitlin home sick these last two days. To cheer up the girls I brought back purple tulips for them both as an early Valentine's gift...it worked! In the middle of the day I even managed a little nap while James made lunch. Then the girls and I lay snuggled on the sofa together watching the clouds drifting in the bright blue sky. This turned into one big ticklefest as the girls worked together to pin me, tickle me and try to blow in my mouth (though Caitlin thought it more fun to blow on my knee!?). Later in the afternoon we enjoyed ice-cream and homemade raspberry sauce and then we all snuggled up some  more, in the living room this time, to watch some Survivor All-Stars. The girls had their own little contest to see who could be the first to say the name "Colby" each time Colby appeared on the screen. Fun initially, but James eventually put a stop to it...there has to be some limit on the fun, no matter how sick you are
