Halloween Countdown

We've come up with a solution to the morning question of "Is it Halloween this day?" We have a huge amount of horse chestnuts gathered in September during our walks to and from Ashley's school. We decided to take 31 of them and place them in a jar decorated with Halloween stickers. Each morning Ashley and Caitlin will take turns to remove one from the jar and place it on the window sill in our kitchen. They are very excited knowing that when they take the last chestnut out of the jar and line it up with the others that will be the night we go Trick or Treating.
